tales of graces f

Reading, reading, reading

I’ve done what I like to call a “Story Swap” with a couple people from the Twitter and WordPress who are writers as well and I just started reading the books. I’ve got 4 to get through and I’ve promised to write reviews for these people as well.

I think it’s only fair and they’re helping me while I help them. Nothing wrong with that at all!

I didn’t start anything this weekend though because I wanted to play my video game, Tales of Graces f (I strongly believe the ‘f’ stands for ‘Foreign’ since it’s English Dub :P) and I got really involved in that game this weekend. I really like the Tales series and I am really looking forward to the next one which is due out in August as it was supposed to come out in JANUARY of this year but got pushed back.

The first book on my plate is: A Seer Ended by Michael Hale. You can find his work at: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Seer-Ended-The-novels-ebook/dp/B00CQBYLQ0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1368296410&sr=8-1&keywords=A+seer+Ended

I just loaded it up on my tablet but it’s sitting at 400 and something pages. That actually makes me really excited because that means it’s probably really involved! I like stories like that. He’s got a profile over at GoodReads too so you should check him out. I’ll touch base on the other books when I get to them.

Happy Monday! I’m alllllllllllllllmost done my Day Job for at least a year. I can’t wait!

A Post-Mother's Day….post

Yesterday was Mother’s Day and being a mother, I enjoyed it to the fullest!

My day started out with two hours of PEACE AND QUIET. Do you have any idea what kind of rare commodity that is when you have an ‘energetic’ 3 year-old, a 3 year-old dog and a husband? It’s better than platinum.

So my loving husband took the crazy child and the crazy dog and went out first thing in the morning to the dog park. This meant there was only myself and the Hatchling I’m currently gestating in the house. I wasn’t alone, but it was certainly quiet.

So what did I do with those two glorious hours?

Yeah. That’s right. That’s how we do in my house. I also got The Secret World of Arrietty. It’s one of the Studio Ghibli movies that I HAVE to watch with original Japanese audio and English subtitles. The only movies I can watch with English dub are: Howl’s Moving Castle, Castle in the Sky and Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. The voice actors that were chosen for those movies were very well done. I mean, COME ON! Patrick Stewart!!! YES!

Anyway, back to my video game of awesomeness: I received Tales of Graces f  as my gift. I’ve already annihilated Tales of Vesperia and I was very happy with that game. I HATED the English voice actors though and in the newest installment to the Tales I’m not overly keen on them again, but I’ll manage. I’ve heard a rumour that the up-and-coming Tales of Xillia is supposed to have the original Japanese audio track. I will be super stoked if that’s true and it’ll make the delay in release that much better. The thing was supposed to drop in January of 2013 and now it’s been pushed back to AUGUST 2013.

All this enjoyment of video games has seriously prevented me from formatting. I need to get my ass in gear before I end up delaying my publishing date AGAIN and kicking myself in the ass repeatedly.
